Korean and Chinese to Russian translation

Hello!

I have a question about prompts. I’m a regular user who stumbled upon this site and wanted to ask: I translate manhua and manhwa into Russian, so I need help with a prompt. My usual prompt is: “Translate this text as concisely, pleasantly, and humanly as possible. Use pronouns of at least one type for each paragraph (a paragraph is a bubble in comics - speech. I requested fewer pronouns due to the specifics of the Russian language). Don’t combine paragraphs or separate them.” I indicate the type (manhua - china or manhwa - korean), genre, and the world itself beforehand. Please give me some advice on how to make it produce a much better translation. Also, I would be glad if you could tell me which model is the best for this.

Thank you.

Perhaps you should use more than just a single prompt here, but rather a small system:

  • Memory for character names, place names, spells, and other proper nouns: to avoid mixing them up during subsequent translations.
  • Provide examples of correct translations for complex terms in the prompt that the model currently struggles with using a simple prompt.
    …something else…)
