Json instead of xm l to train the model

Can I use the json format instead of xml to train the models. xml only gives me teh bounding box and while I JSON was used creating teh ploygon method.
So is it possible to traing models using the json format . so please let me know

I have the some Mechanical parts like nuts, bolts that I need to find analomy and sort accordingly. I need to know if there is any such model that is supported… and which will be best suited for this…
