Previously, when using API functionality in Gemini Canvas, the system would automatically populate environment variables with a random key, allowing the code to run successfully.
However, following the deprecation of gemini-2.5-flash-preview-09-25 on February 17th, I switched to different models as advised, but the automatic key generation no longer works with any model.
Could you please clarify if the “automatic random key” feature has been disabled or prohibited?
If this functionality has been removed, I need to know immediately so I can implement an alternative solution. I would appreciate an official update on this matter.
