Is there an update to Gemini TTS? Gemini went British

Gemini 2.5 Pro/Flash Preview TTS has been erroring quite a lot for me today in AI Studio - “Something went wrong…” error and producing audio files which go silent.

On one of those occasions the audio switched to EN-GB - The enceladus voice speaking my audio (well half of it) with a smooth British accent. EN-GB is not a supported language according to the docs, so I’m guessing an update is underway which will add these extra voices.

Anyone else experienced this or know anything?

I’m British and I’d welcome being able to generate speech with a British accent. I just can’t get it to do it again! It’s switched back to American

I just checked TTS with both the models, It’s working fine for me and generating the correct speech. It might be an intermittent issue. Just check once again and let me know.
For British accent, I will raise this with our team for sure.

Please guide the model through prompting for British accent, it will work fine.
