Hello, I have some problems. I started working on one project with Gemini 2.5 Pro, and Gemini helped me to produce a lot of code. Today, after some time, the run prompt button became grey and stopped working. Do you have any idea or solution how I can continue using it without losing my data in Chat?

Yes, I cannot say clearly but I do have a chat with 80k tokens and everything is ok, for another chat with +130k, it is gray.

I have other chat with 113k and everything is ok. Nowhere was writen is this a bug or limitation. Even I am ready to pay per 200k to continue my work, because if I loose it have to start all idea and logic from begining.

Apparently itās because itās waiting for content to finish loading which is weird since itās already loaded for me

Same problem for as well. Started out of nowhere about 15 hours ago. Affecting conversations between 150-300K tokens. Wasnāt an issue prior. Now I canāt even summarise the existing conversation to pick-up in a new one.
Was some sort of update pushed recently that caused this??

I have the same problem, I canāt send a message in a long chat with 200k tokens because itās greyed out.

it now says i have hit my rate limit across all my chats and it stops generating responses.

I think that this is some kind of limit of free use of AiStudio, because this preview model is too good for the work we use it and they try to stop system from going down. I cant see the solution exept to pay and continue, but they are not ready to start for payments in aistudio. Infact I am ready to pay to not loose my logic in code that gemini 2.5 create and also files that wrote.

Same here.
Old, saved chats wont respond. However, I can start new chats. No message of a limit.
Looks also a bit random. A chat (the most important oneā¦) with > 300k tokens wont respond. Another one with 250 still responds.
The I trimmed the most important one to < 160k tokens - still not responding. The save button also says
Please wait for the content to finish loading.
Also it seems to save nothing. After reloading the trimmed content in this chat (mainly uploaded .md files) were back.
So, the question is: bug or push away from (nearly) unlimited free usage of 2.5 pro experimental in AI Studio?

Edit: FYI you can take the file that is saved in your Google Drive, edit it to the extension .json and upload it to the regular Gemini Chat. It can read it perfectly. Its just a workaround. God, I learned to love AI Studio for the past weeks with the nice display of token count and available adjustmentsā¦
Edit 2: Really weird. I was able to branch a chat (with >200k token, still working) to a new one and push it over 300k without any problem.

Another workaround that Iāve found to work is despite not being able to continue an old chat, I can edit an existing prompt to summarise said chat. That edited prompt runs successfully, and I can take that output and use it to ācontinue the conversationā in a new chat. Not ideal, but itās something.

Here is what i did:
i copied the code (by clicking the little < > at the top there) of the chat with the greyed out button and pasted it into the new chat.
Before that, I had a short conversation with the AI about the last chat before i pasted the code as a reminder, now Iām working again.
I was on 170k tokens, currently on 238k

I encounter this issue too, a fair amount of time. I found a way to fix it, although I have to do it a few times.
Before you do this, make sure: NO ANY PARTS OF THE CONVERSATION IS IN EDIT MODE
This is very important. Remember, in AI Studio you can edit any parts of the WHOLE CONVERSATION
BUT!!! If any parts of the whole chat is in edit mode, you CAN NOT continue the conversation.
Okay now letās go to the other point.
WHAT IF no conversation parts are in edit mode, and you still canāt SEND a new chat?
For me, what usually fix it, is that I have to SCROLL UP the whole conversation, while the CURSOR is hovering over parts of the CHAT. Then I scroll DOWN. I do this a few times, and it fix it.
