Is prompt data (so all tool outputs, prompts and provided code) used for training future google ai models and/or retained indefinitely? (for paid and for free accounts)
Hi @den1251,
Thank you for reaching out! Here is how prompt, code, and tool-output data (“Interactions”) are handled in Google Antigravity, based on the Google Antigravity Additional Terms of Service and FAQ:
-
Are prompts, code, and tool outputs used for training?
-
Individual / Consumer Accounts (Free & Google One AI Plus / Pro / Ultra):
- Only if you have Telemetry enabled. Under Section 5 of the Google Antigravity Additional Terms of Service, when telemetry/data collection is enabled, Google collects and uses Interactions (prompts, code context, tool outputs, model responses, and feedback) “to evaluate, develop, and improve Google and Alphabet research, products, services and machine learning technologies.”
- You can opt out at any time: During onboarding, you can choose whether to check the box allowing Google to collect and use your Interactions data, and you can turn this off at any point inside the IDE by going to Settings > Account > General > Enable Telemetry (toggle it Off). Once disabled, your prompts, code, and model responses are not collected for training or product improvement.
- Enterprise, Business & Google Workspace Accounts (Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Enterprise for Business, or Google Workspace):
- No. If you access Antigravity through Gemini Enterprise (Google Cloud), Gemini Enterprise for Business, or an eligible Google Workspace subscription, the consumer Antigravity Terms do not apply—your usage is governed by your organization’s Google Cloud / Workspace terms. For these accounts, collection of prompts, code content, and model responses is disabled by default.
-
-
Does this differ between Free and Paid (AI Pro / AI Ultra) consumer accounts?
-
No. Both the Free tier and consumer paid plans (Google One AI Plus, AI Pro, and AI Ultra) are governed by the same Google Antigravity Additional Terms of Service and use the same Enable Telemetry opt-out setting in Settings > Account > General.
-
The distinction in default data handling is between Individual/Consumer accounts (where you control collection via the Enable Telemetry toggle) and Enterprise / Google Cloud / Workspace accounts (where prompt and code collection is disabled under enterprise terms).

-
How long is Interactions data retained, and can I delete it?
-
Under Section 3 of the Google Antigravity Additional Terms of Service, if you have telemetry enabled, Interactions are recorded only while you have the Service running and are retained in accordance with the Agreement and the Google Privacy Policy “unless and until you request deletion.”
-
Requesting Deletion: You can request deletion of your stored Interactions at any time by emailing antigravity-support@google.com (per Section 3 of the Terms of Service), in addition to turning off Enable Telemetry in Settings > Account to stop future collection.

What data is retained and for how long if telemetry is disabled?
