I’m trying to use Google AI Studio, but every time I click on any button in the preview screen, I get the message “aistudio.google.com refused the connection” (or “aistudio.google.com heeft de verbinding geweigerd” for the Dutch readers).
What I tried: — cleared browser cache & cookies; — disabled VPN / proxy; — tried a different browser and incognito mode; — tested from a different network; — confirmed my Google account is age-verified.
Could someone help me understand why this issue occurs and how to resolve it? Thanks in advance for any suggestions or guidance!
This usually happens if your account or region doesn’t currently have access to AI Studio, or if there’s a network restriction blocking the iframe used in the preview. Check that you’re signed in with a Google account that’s eligible for AI Studio and that you can open https://aistudio.google.com directly in the same browser without being redirected. If it still fails, try from a network that allows WebSocket connections and confirm your Google Workspace admin hasn’t blocked the domain in Admin Console > Apps > Additional Google services. If you have multiple Google accounts signed in, log out of all and sign in only with the eligible account before accessing the preview.

I logged out multiple times with all my Google accounts
I have tried to log in from multiple network connections
I don’t use Google Workspace since I use Google AI Studio with my personal Google account
I hope you have other suggestions! Looking forward to it!
