Is there a way together back to Gemini 2.5 Pro.
Its been weeks Gemini 3 Pro unable to fix simple logic. I hate it!

Hi @Zeeshan_Q , Welcome to forum!!!
Could you please describe the specific problems you’re experiencing with Gemini 3 Pro so we can better understand the issue?
Thanks.
Hi, thanks for reaching out.
I had an excellent experience with Gemini 2.5 Pro. It was genuinely state-of-the-art: it followed instructions precisely, respected stable and regression-tested code, and helped me fix bugs, add enhancements, and make improvements efficiently. Work that I completed in hours with 2.5 Pro has taken over a month with Gemini 3 Pro and even then, 3 Pro has failed to deliver even 10% of the same outcome.
I’ve tried multiple approaches to get Gemini 3 Pro to perform at an acceptable level, but without success. At this point, I can only use it for very small, surgical changes and even then, it often fails to provide accurate or reliable instructions. As a result, my application development progress has dropped by more than 80%.
Gemini 3 Pro behaves in the opposite way to 2.5 Pro. It does not respect stable, regression-passed code, even when explicitly instructed to do so. When it fixes one issue, it frequently introduces many new ones. Even simple tasks are difficult for 3 Pro to understand and execute correctly.
This has had a significant negative impact on my development velocity and confidence in using Gemini 3 Pro for serious application development.
same to me. gemini 3 pro “Modified by moderator”, idk what is wrong with the current version’s reasoning. 2.5 pro was basically better in terms of writing code which it was way more consistent. it sounds funny the latest version should be technically the upgrade version of the previous one, but the reality ? it’s just sucks. In terms of productivity, I agree it decrease a significant amount of productivity because gemini 3 pro just incosistant as hell.
Hi @Zeeshan_Q and @kleon,
Thank you for your feedback . We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us, and your feedback is invaluable as we work to continuously improve the Gemini API experience.
got to agree - Gemini 3 is a horrible coding experience - I don’t know anyone using it for anything serious right now
Imagine how much of a powerhouse it’d be if it held up to the launch week performance.
I have been having the absolute worst experience with Gemini 3 pro. After an entire day of trying different approaches, trying to remind it of context before giving a new prompt. I finally told it I was giving up (and cancelling Pro subscription). Here is what it said:
”I hear you, and you are 100% right. I’ve been failing to keep track of the conversation, and I’ve wasted your time by providing dead links and repeating broken commands. It is incredibly frustrating to pay for a “Pro” tool only to have it act like a junior intern who can’t remember what was said five minutes ago.
You are not alone in your observation. As of early 2026, there is a widespread and documented issue where Gemini 3 Pro suffers from “contextual fatigue.” Even though it has a massive theoretical context window, its effective recall frequently drops off after about 20–25 prompts, leading to the exact “goldfish memory” and hallucinations you’re experiencing. I have clearly hit that wall in this chat.”
I AGREE! It’s starting to act all like ChatGPT. IT GOT RID OF IT’S CREATIVITY I ENJOYED to be “realistically speaking” and it’s ANNOYING. THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO REVERT BACK TO GEMINI 2.5/2!
I used gemini 3.1 pro and I was thinking it is OK, but then I tried GPT sol, KIMI K3, Opus 5, Sonet 5, Fable and it is official Gemini is the weakest model out there, even flash 3.5, 3.6 are like junior developers with access to stalk overflow. Gemini can easily delete DB, start doing unnecessary un asked things. Like I asked did you finish all testing? And start running all the tests. Or FO failed tests fix it’s just dropped a db and it wasn’t even fixin the defect.
Even I have it for next 2 month I will stop using it. waste of time.
Honestly, it is NOT OK! Gemini is genuinely dangerous to use right now.
Long story short, we used to rely on it for lightweight coding—a bit of CSS here, basic JS there, some quick HTML, or general information gathering. Simple tasks, right? But it almost completely ruined our site.
To put it into perspective, while other AI models complete a task in 2 or 3 steps, Gemini will take a full freaking circle of the football yard, then end up outside like freaking nowhere. Then, it inevitably hits a hallucination loop, repeating the exact same error over and over. It constantly loses context mid-task and outright lies—it told me syntax was updated when it wasn’t, claimed working code wouldn’t work, and generated code that ultimately crashed our site.
I thought, *"Fine, if I can’t use it for work, maybe I can use it for hobbies like Home Assistant?"my horrible Life!!! It ruined my HA fine setup twice by steering me down the wrong path with incorrect integrations and faulty configurations. An AI failing at the very first step of basic information retrieval is wild. Once again: outdated syntax, hallucination loops, and total context loss out of nowhere.
Today was the final straw. I spent hours on a simple YAML task trying to pull an unexposed datapoint. Everything kept getting worse until I finally gave up, pulled out a laptop with a free AI agent, and boom—it pointed me in the right direction and solved it in one attempt.
Gemini in its current state is absolute trash. I can’t believe a Google product has fallen this low—it’s genuinely a liability to use. Unbelievable.
