Google Gemini 2.5 Pro - File Upload Issue

I’m encountering an issue with Google Gemini 2.5 Pro. When I upload a scanned PDF file and submit a query, I receive the response: “Unable to read the uploaded file. Please try again or check the file for any issues.” Additionally, there’s an attachment message that says, “This file has been removed.”

Have you tried using the File API? Also, did the same PDF work with other models??

Thank you for your reply! The same file uploaded to AI Studio, 2.5 Pro resulted in an internal error. The same file uploaded to Google Notebook LM worked correctly.

The original PDF was 88 pages. However, after splitting this large PDF into 5 smaller files and then uploading them to AI Studio, it worked correctly. Has there been a recent restriction on the size of uploaded attachments?

According to the docs, Gemini can handle PDFs up to 1000 pages, so an 88-page file should work. The issue might be due to file size, formatting, or a temporary glitch.
