Hi everyone,
I’m using Stitch to modernize and redesign an existing web page. My workflow is to upload a screenshot of the current page and generate a redesigned UI concept (e.g., via “nana banana”).
However, I’m seeing inconsistent outputs: sometimes Stitch provides the corresponding source code for the generated design, but other times it only produces an image preview. In the cases where only an image is generated, using Download / Export does not include any source code (HTML/CSS or equivalent).
This creates a blocker for implementation, because tools like Antigravity cannot reliably reproduce the design pixel-perfect from the image alone, and we need the underlying code (or at least structured design assets/specs) to implement the output accurately.
Could you please clarify:
-
What determines whether Stitch outputs code + design versus image-only?
-
Is there a recommended way to ensure the result always includes exportable code (HTML/CSS) or design deliverables (e.g., Figma file, components, tokens, measurements)?
-
If code export is not available for some generations, is there an alternative export mode or setting that preserves implementation details?
Thanks in advance for any guidance.
