I am experiencing a persistent issue with Gemini’s file artifact system in an account Gemini Pro.
When generating files within chat, the system confirms successful artifact creation using Python. However, the files do not appear in the “Files Created” sidebar and cannot be accessed for in-line editing or collaboration.
The issue persists after:
Cache clearing
Session resets
Logging out/in
Testing across multiple browsers
Testing across multiple devices
It is fully reproducible.
Working assumption:
Artifact generation returns success, but artifact objects are not being associated with my user session metadata. Files appear to exist server-side but lack UI linkage.
Impact:
Collaboration features, versioning, and in-line editing are blocked because generated artifacts are inaccessible.
Probable error:
Platform-Level Operational Bug. Specifically, a failure in the State-Sync Protocol.
I would appreciate any feedback or guidance on:
Whether this is a known issue or rollout-related bug
Whether this behavior suggests account-level metadata desynchronization
Whether there is any method to reinitialize artifact-to-session associations
