Gemini model on Antigravity (Ubuntu Linux) fails with “Agent terminated due to error” while Claude works normally

Hello everyone,

I am facing an issue on Antigravity running on Ubuntu Linux where the Gemini model fails during execution and shows the following error:

“Agent terminated due to error”

The UI message says:

“You can prompt the model to try again or start a new conversation if the error persists.”

Issue details

  • Environment: Ubuntu Linux

  • Platform/Application: Antigravity

  • Affected model: Gemini

  • Working model: Claude

  • Error behavior: The agent stops unexpectedly and the task does not complete

  • Frequency: Happens specifically when using the Gemini model, while Claude works without this problem

What I observed

  • The issue appears to be model-specific

  • The same workflow works properly with Claude

  • Only Gemini is triggering the termination error

  • Because of this, I am not sure whether the root cause is:

    • Gemini integration/configuration

    • provider/API handling

    • agent runtime compatibility

    • Ubuntu/Linux-specific behavior

    • or a model adapter bug inside Antigravity

Request for help

I would like to understand:

  1. Whether anyone else has faced this issue with Gemini on Ubuntu/Linux

  2. Whether this is a known Antigravity bug

  3. What logs, debug details, or configuration checks I should review

  4. Whether there are Gemini-specific setup requirements that differ from Claude

I can share additional debug information if needed.

Thanks in advance.

I encountered a similar issue upon updating to version 1.20.5. Reverting to version 1.19.6 resolved the problem. I suggest you attempt the same.
