Gemini Flash and Gemini 3.1 Pro unusable on Pro plan — persistent "high traffic" errors for days

been on the pro plan and for the past several days, both gemini flash and gemini 3.1 pro consistently return “our servers are experiencing high traffic right now, please try again in a minute.” this happens on almost every request, repeatedly, regardless of time of day.

the advertised quota refresh is 5 hours on pro. what’s actually happening seems to be a weekly lockout kicking in after the first 5-hour cycle is exhausted — with no clear warning, no visible usage meter that reflects this, and reset timers that sometimes extend themselves further while you wait.

paying for pro and being locked out of the exact models that justify the subscription, for days at a stretch, is not acceptable. at minimum there should be a clear usage breakdown showing the weekly cap separately, and the lockout behavior needs to be documented transparently.
