I would like to raise a concern regarding the availability of Gemini AI Studio and its API in French overseas territories such as French Guiana, Guadeloupe, and Martinique.
Despite being integral parts of France and the European Union, these regions are currently restricted from accessing Gemini AI services. This situation is frustrating for developers and organizations based in these territories, who are eager to explore and build with Gemini like anyone else in mainland France or Europe.
Could you please clarify the reason for this restriction?
Moreover, is there an official process or contact point to request the removal of these geographic restrictions so that French citizens in these territories can also benefit from Google’s AI advancements?
We believe it is essential to ensure equal access to innovation and AI development tools for all regions of France, including its overseas departments.

When I was in Lyon, I used Jules AI Agent regularly and found it very helpful. However, now that I live in Guadeloupe, I’ve noticed that this service is not available here. I am quite disappointed and would appreciate knowing if there are any plans to make it accessible in this region.

I noticed that Google AI Studio and the Gemini API are available in mainland France and several French overseas territories, but Guadeloupe is not currently listed among the supported regions.
This situation creates an accessibility gap for entrepreneurs and developers in Guadeloupe who wish to build innovative digital services using Google’s AI technologies.
Guadeloupe is an integral part of France and the European Union. I would therefore like to request that Google extend access to Google AI Studio and the Gemini API to Guadeloupe.
