I’ve been using Antigravity 2.0 daily for months and it’s usually blazing fast, but since yesterday the response times have fallen off a cliff.
There are no crash warnings, rate limits, or error codes—everything technically works, but the initial TTFT (time-to-first-token) is crawling. Even saying “hi” in a brand-new, empty chat hangs for an abnormal amount of time before the agent starts writing.
Is it just my connection/region, or are others seeing backend throttling today too? What’s going on?
All Gemini models seem unusually slow for me right now. I’m also repeatedly hitting the “Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now” error, along with very high TTFT before responses begin.
same issue from yesterday, the team were sleeping from able to solve the issue , why they were isnt posting publicly regarding this issue even people were complaining about this issue globally.
I was developing a game engine with Gemini 3.8 Flash-High. It was very fast and stable, and 2 days ago I had that server error notification, and after that day it’s very slow. Even can’t do some simple stuff and have a lot of bugs.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our engineering team is aware of the situation and is actively investigating the performance degradation with the Gemini 3.8 Flash model.
As a temporary workaround while we work on a fix, many users have found that switching the active model to Gemini 3.7 Flash restores normal execution speeds. We appreciate your continued patience as we work to resolve this and enhance the Antigravity experience.
This is awful. Gemini has been super slow since yesterday. It feels like I’m using Codex instead of Antigravity. HEY, GOOGLE DEVELOPERS, FIX THIS PROBLEM. WHY DID WE CHOOSE YOU? FOR YOUR FAST SOLUTIONS!
