I’m getting 404 on the gemini-2.5-* models. on the documentation the end of life is October so is it a bug?
Ya something seems up with 2.5, couple other posts about it already…
Should be rolled back already! Sorry about this, config issue happened here. Will work to prevent this in the future!

Sorry jumped the start here, we kicked off the rollback when I posted above and it takes ~45 minutes to hit all regions. Should be mostly resolved now!

Hello, I invoked 2.5-flash / 2.5-flash-lite using a newly created project and received the following error: 404 This model models/gemini-2.5-flash is no longer available to new users. Could you please confirm if this is expected behavior? Additionally, is there any official documentation that states this restriction?

Hi Logan, this issue persists with 2.5 flash lite, model works fine in AI Studio but API returns an error message. Is this intended behavior?

Hi. I am experiencing a similar issue with Gemini 2.5 Flash and Gemini 2.5 on newly created projects where I just obtained a new API key
Leave it to Google to be consistently unprofessional. Can you guys actually stick to your stated deprecation dates? This is still an issue. If you’re going to … people around at least give a soft date when you’ll start rug pulling from new projects/api keys. Doesn’t help that all your new offerings are not drop in replacements for the old. Consistently doubling, tripling the price of each class of model while playing games like this. Adding on frequent model overload errors and massive spikes in ttft unless you’re paying double for priority, gives the feeling that there is little reason to continue building with Gemini over the competition.
Hey Logan today I tried Googles Ai studio for the first time and Gemini pro 2.5 works but when I try to use my api creds to keep chatting it keeps saying “internal error” and when I checked my api error reasons it kept saying 598 I think time outs and 404s
