Since I’ve been able to test these models, I have not been able to upload folders. That’s still specific to ChatGPT. Gemini can also be pickier regarding specific file types, so even if you could upload entire folders, I would be careful of that for now.
Yes, you didn’t hallucinate that, it was briefly possible to upload a folder in AI Studio. Then that feature was removed. You can get the same functionality using the file API
