Does the image input price stated in Vertex-AI ($0.0001315 / image) also apply to AI Studio?
No, the pricing for the two platforms is different.
AI Studio bills by tokens with images being 259 tokens / image.

As Allen said, there is no distinction for pricing images in the price catalog Gemini API Pricing | Google for Developers. The tokens per image metric is found by, well, experiment. We post images (either from the API or from AI Studio) and see how many tokens that represents.

Shockingly enough, they DID document the image token size here. (Tho I appear to have gotten the number wrong. That says 258.)

And it is shockingly cheap. I can’t recall any other service providing such low pricing for image input. It is practically free!
