Dear Google Antigravity Team and Google AI Community,
I am posting this as a formal community request for Google to review and reconsider the current geographic restrictions on Google Antigravity.
Users should not be permanently excluded from modern AI development tools simply because they live in a country where the service has not yet been made available.
Afghanistan is one of the countries affected by this problem. Afghan students, developers, programmers, researchers, teachers, entrepreneurs, and technology users want to use Antigravity for legitimate purposes such as education, software development, research, programming, and innovation.
We understand that Google must comply with applicable laws, regulations, security requirements, and sanctions. We are not asking Google to violate any law or regulation. We are asking Google to determine whether lawful access can be provided and, where legally possible, remove unnecessary geographic restrictions.
Our community requests Google to:
1. Officially review the availability of Google Antigravity in Afghanistan.
2. Add Afghanistan to the supported countries if Google can legally and technically provide the service there.
3. Review all currently unsupported countries and territories, rather than permanently excluding their users.
4. Publish a clear explanation of the major reasons why certain countries are excluded.
5. Provide a transparent process through which users can request their country to be reviewed and added.
6. Allow legitimate users to access Antigravity without requiring them to provide false country information or misrepresent their location.
7. Do not make users bypass regional restrictions through unofficial methods. Instead, provide an official and legitimate solution.
8. Consider introducing a free basic Antigravity tier with reasonable usage limits.
9. Make the basic educational/development version available to students, learners, researchers, developers, and users who cannot afford a paid subscription, regardless of whether they are wealthy or low-income.
10. Continue offering paid plans for users who need higher limits, additional capabilities, faster services, or premium features.
11. Consider educational, humanitarian, or developer-access programs for countries where users face significant economic difficulties.
Why this matters
Artificial intelligence is becoming an essential part of modern education, software development, research, and the global technology industry.
A student in Afghanistan should have a reasonable opportunity to learn programming and AI development just as a student elsewhere does.
A developer should be able to build software.
A researcher should be able to experiment with AI.
A teacher should be able to teach modern technology.
A young person who cannot afford an expensive subscription should still have an opportunity to learn.
Geographic location and financial circumstances should not unnecessarily become permanent barriers to technological education and innovation when lawful access is possible.
We are asking for an official solution
We are not asking Google to ignore sanctions, laws, security requirements, or other legitimate restrictions.
Instead, we ask Google to perform a serious review:
Review the restriction → identify the legal/technical reason → determine whether lawful access is possible → provide a transparent decision → and, where possible, add the country to the supported list.
If Afghanistan cannot currently be supported for a specific legal or technical reason, we ask Google to clearly explain the reason and provide information about what would need to change before Afghanistan can become eligible.
A request to the Google community
If you are a user from Afghanistan or another currently unsupported country and you want legitimate access to Antigravity, please support this request and share your experience below.
The purpose is not to attack Google.
The purpose is to make Google aware that there are real users around the world who want to use Antigravity legally, transparently, and without having to misrepresent their country.
We respectfully ask the Google Antigravity team and the relevant Google policy/product teams to take this community request seriously and review the geographic availability of Antigravity globally.
We are asking for equal opportunity, transparency, legitimate access, and a path forward for users in currently unsupported countries.
