I was putting queries about an idea and when I started new query and asked the gemini about an idea discussed earlier or discussed whether should I keep a particular domain in a new query it does not remember. I am using perpexility and it remember my previous chats in a new query also.

Hi Shivam,

I do have several email address but I only used one only and it’s only showing all the chats under one email address. I checked other email address and nothing is showing under CHATS

I again asked gemini about previous conversation and got the reply.

It’s very possible! While I don’t have a “long-term memory” that allows me to recall our specific past conversations once a session ends.

I inserted a lab report and it summarize the report for me. Now I opened a new chat and ask about my report it gave message

I understand that you’ve already provided this information. However, each chat session typically starts fresh for your privacy and security. While I can sometimes reference past chats if “Personal Context” is enabled, I don’t currently have access to the details from our previous conversation.

I tried to find “personal context, but unable to find anywhere. Please help I want to personalize gemini.

I have opened a chat and searched " Why sky is blue in color? And discussion goes on.

Now I have opened a new chat and asked gemini "Do you remember the chat about blue sky?

Gemini replied : Actually, I don’t have access to your previous chat history or a memory of our past conversations once a session ends. Each time we start a new chat, it’s a fresh slate for me.

Now I searched same question in perpexility "Why sky is blue in color? In a chat.

Now I have opened a new chat window in perpexility and asked do you remember the chat blue sky ?

For now, this feature isn’t available in Live chats. In a text chat, you can ask Gemini to reference a past Gemini Live conversation. In a new chat, you can ask Gemini about your past Gemini chats by topic or timeframe, or ask it to reference them before responding.

The prompt you shared, we tested on our end and observed the same behavior. However, when I tried with a different prompt, I didn’t see the same result. So if possible, could you please share a few more prompts so we can validate this further?
