Fix the 429 Resource Exhausted Already!

My … for Google could fill volumes. They make things 200X more complex than need be. I used to be able to create API keys for Gemini in the cloud console. No more! Nothing but errors. Lately, it’s the dreaded 429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED BS. I’m NOT on a free trial. I have an active billing account connected to a project. Google fails to fix this. I hate that we’re completely at their .. customer service mercy. Has anyone found a way around this? Thanks.

Which model are you using? Gemini 3.1 Pro is always exhausted.

I’m using Gemini 2.5 flash and pro for TTS.

Seven hours later I fixed it!! Wow.Google is the absolute worst when it comes to convoluted procedures.

I wish I could detail the fix, but I had to hit five different Google sites/platforms to make changes and create workaround accounts. Amateur hour, Google. Come on!

I have a YouTube channel and when the PTSD of this experience wears off, perhaps I’ll make a vid detailed the fix. If so, I’ll post the link.
