Feedback on Context Over-indexing and Character Caricaturization in Roleplay Scenarios

For instance, I like to create roleplay scenarios. Let’s say I tell the model I’m an F-16 pilot. For the next 50 messages, it weaves terms like ‘sortie,’ ‘Mach,’ ‘mission,’ and ‘radar’ into almost every single sentence.

In my opinion, this isn’t effectively using context; it’s over-indexing on context.

The model operates on a logic like: ‘The user provided a new identity trait \rightarrow If I constantly reference this, it will increase personalization.’ But human conversation simply doesn’t work that way. If your friend is an engineer, you don’t tell them ‘you solved this problem like an engineer’ in every sentence, right?

The model should evaluate whether the background context is actually relevant to the current prompt. If the user mentions they are an F-16 pilot and later asks for a cooking recipe, the two should never be blended together.

The issue isn’t the existence of this stylistic adaptation, but rather not knowing when to dial it back. A user might chuckle the first time, but by the tenth time, it becomes overwhelming.

To summarize my critique:

'When I assign a profession like ‘heart surgeon’ or ‘F-16 pilot’ to a persona, the model turns it into a constant source of metaphors rather than a grounded personality trait. This caricaturizes characters in long roleplay scenarios. Occupational context should be applied only when relevant, rather than hijacking the tone of every response
