me too, but we report this since this update and google release another update but not fizx for this, is sad 
Same, and even worse, all new conversations are not saved after closed and reopen.

im also having this issue…
Till the time google support fix this, i found a workaround by simply asking: “Export this entire chat as a Markdown file.”
this can only work well if your conversation has not been already truncated, sadly.
