Error 409 using gemini-2.5-flash-live (Gemini API)

Hi Everyone,

I’m using gemini-2.5-flash-live with LiveKit, and I have been seeing error 409 from my Google AI Studio’s usage dashboard. However, I can’t find any logs regarding this. Enabling logging does not capture usage from Live model apparently. I go to GCP Log console, there is also no log about this.

Could you help me advise how I can figure out what’s wrong here?

I am experiencing same issue - Error 409. I could find 409 error logs from the GCP log console.

However, the reason for the error is unknown for me too.

Hello, have you found out what’s causing the issue. We noticed 409 conclict error on our side as well but I can’t see it anywhere in the log. Any hint?

@Rio_Li no idea so far. But today, our gemini-2.5-flash-live was throwing error due to deprecated model, so switched it to gemini-2.5-flash-native-audio. So far still monitoring.

Yes, 2.5-flash live was deprecated: https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/docs/deprecations

Please refer to the attached link, try out the latest model and let us know if you still get the errors.

Hi @Srikanta_K_N, the error 409 still persists even though we have switched to the latest Gemini Native Audio:

Do you have any idea what could cause the errors, and how can I possibly get the error logs?

Same here, also can see that 409 errors
