Empty/Error responses with API

The API has been practically unusable.

For the past month, almost every request ends up with either an error or an empty response. This happens across every model I’ve tried (including all Gemini 2.5 versions, even the preview ones).

During the day, it fails constantly, but at night it usually works fine. On weekends, it runs without any problems at all.

What makes this even more frustrating is the support responses. Every time, the only reply is “we have escalated your issue to the concerned team,” but there’s no transparency, no updates, and no indication if anything is actually being fixed.

As a paying customer, it’s incredibly annoying not to be able to rely on the API or get clear communication.

This needs to be fixed and communicated urgently.

we understand the inconvenience , gemini team is actively working on this and we have been addressing this on a different thread.

It’s been very disappointing. I’ve spent the whole day with no success, I’m now forced to think of using alternatives

Like you, I can still use it, but the returned value is always truncated. I tried many times but it was not successful. Sometimes it can respond successfully.

I also encountered the same problem. I spent a long time debugging gemini-cli, and I thought it was my own problem. It turned out to be gemini. It’s so frustrating.
