Why Gemini doesn’t have DELL-E or some things to generate images from prompting???

A few things to keep in mind:

  • DALL-E is an OpenAI model/product. So Google doesn’t have access.
  • The Gemini API is just the language model - it doesn’t do image generation. Just like GPT-4o doesn’t do image generation.
  • Google’s image generation model is Imagen. You can access it through an API using Google Cloud Platform, but you need to request access.
  • To access it outside of the API, you can use the Google Test Kitchen ImageFX weapp or through the Gemini Chat App. (Just like ChatGPT can access DALL-E.)
