Anyone can explain the price of context caching for Gemini 2.0 Flash?
The documentation have two fields and I don’t understand the difference between it.
I want to store a PDF file with ~50k token, which of the below fields I need to consider?
Hi @joao.nbr, The Context caching price is for number tokens cached and context caching (storage) is for the time period for the tokens stored in the cache.
You have to consider both fields, for example you want to cache the PDF data which is around 50k token count then context caching price is applicable for these 50k tokens. If you want to store these 50k tokens for 1 hour then Context caching(storage) price will be applicable. Thank You.
From what I understand, we have a field about the price of storing the context cache and another one for reading the context cache. Is this right?
