Constant "high traffic" errors making Antigravity unusable

Is anyone else getting hit with non-stop “Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now, please try again in a minute” messages?

I’m a heavy user relying on Antigravity for daily development work — full-stack app building, multi-file refactors, deployment workflows — and these constant interruptions are killing my productivity. I’m not talking about occasional hiccups; this is happening repeatedly throughout my sessions, breaking my flow and forcing me to retry over and over.

For a tool that’s positioned as a serious developer productivity platform, this level of unreliability is unacceptable. We need either:

  1. Better capacity scaling — if demand is growing (which it clearly is), the infrastructure needs to keep up.

  2. Priority queuing for active sessions — if I’m mid-conversation working on a complex task, I shouldn’t get bumped by cold starts.

  3. Transparency — a status page, estimated wait times, anything beyond a generic “try again in a minute.”

I love the product when it works, but right now it’s actively blocking my work. Please address this.

I’m having the same issue since this morning; any model I try, the response is ‘Error: Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now, please try again in a minute.

My quotas are full, as I was on vacation and haven’t used antigravity for a week.

I can’t submit a single prompt to Antigravity without “high traffic” messages. Not a single prompt. I am Pro Plan user. If this doesn’t get fixed within a day or two, I am switching to Claude Code.

I’d suggest using gemini cli. It’s still in working order.

Every model has this error making me frustrated

Glad it’s not just me. I’ve spent the last 4 hours trying to get back into my workflow

I’m glad it’s not just me that frustrated

The same issue is happening for me as well. Only the Gemini CLI is able to get a response, but Antigravity is failing, and I’m on the Ultra plan. Will we get a resolution?

I am having constant “high traffic“ errors for about 2 months already (free plan) But I am occasional user of Antigravity, i can not imagine what people who selected it as their main tool do. It is just not possible to work. And so many alternatives all around…

That’s right, even Gemini Flash Fast is kicking me off. I encountered this problem yesterday at 6 pm. And I have Ultra plan

I had/have the same. Google Support people tell me it has to do with a 60 day waiting period for new accounts for AI Ultra: “Waiting for the 60-day period to complete is exactly the right approach. Once that time has passed, the system should automatically update your account, and everything should start working smoothly.”.

”….. Upon reviewing your account, I can confirm that this billing threshold was successfully reached on March 2nd. As a result, the 60-day evaluation period is currently in progress. During this time, the system will automatically reassess and update your Anti-gravity application limits to a higher limit once the period is complete….”

@Jeroenvee That’s interesting — can you elaborate on this 60-day waiting period? This is the first I’m hearing about it.

So Google Support is saying that even after you subscribe to AI Ultra and start paying, there’s a 60-day evaluation period where your Antigravity rate limits stay at the lower tier? And only after 60 days does the system “unlock” the full Ultra limits?

If that’s the case, that’s a pretty important detail that’s nowhere in the pricing or onboarding documentation. Paying customers shouldn’t be throttled the same as free users for two months without any clear communication about it.

A few follow-up questions:

  1. Did they give you any documentation or support article about this policy?

  2. Has anyone here actually passed the 60-day mark and seen their limits increase?

  3. Does this apply to all new Google One AI Ultra subscriptions, or just specific regions/account types?

Because right now it feels like we’re all assuming this is a capacity issue, but if it’s actually an intentional account-level throttle, that changes the conversation entirely.

It works if you install version 1.19.6 from https://antigravity.google/releases. It does throw errors occasionally, but not ‘always’ like the latest version does. It’s ridiculous that we have to find and install a working version every time.

One question, ten retry attempts, 20% reduction in Ultra credit limit—well done, Google!:upside_down_face:

It didn’t work. I uninstalled the new version and installed the version you mentioned, and then I encountered the login issue.

its about google’s servers, not about version of your client…
you are developers.. dont be naive

I have been having the same issue for days now, I have plenty of credits available for all models. I have send support an email but no response 3 days later. I have switched over to the Trae IDE for now.

How is TRAE IDE? Do they have Opus and Sonnet models?

Same. Last for 3 days. So this is how google treats Pro & Ultra subscribers :face_with_thermometer:

Yes, no other business is better than this… High traffic problem but I need to use my quota to retry. My quota just used up due to too many “Retry” clicks.. Need to wait until next refresh.
