We are developing Bulimen Voice Studio, a paid AI voice SaaS for adult users (18+), including independent creators, professionals, and businesses.
Our backend uses the paid Gemini API for text-to-speech generation. Users provide their own text, select one of the available Gemini TTS voices in our interface, and receive AI-generated audio that they can download and use in their professional or commercial work.
We have reviewed the current Gemini API Additional Terms of Service, including the statement that use of Google AI Studio and Gemini API is for developers building with Google AI models for professional or business purposes, not for consumer use.
We would appreciate clarification on two specific points:
1. Individual professional users
May a paid SaaS such as Bulimen Voice Studio be made available to individual adult users, including independent creators, freelancers, consultants, educators, and other professionals, provided that the product is positioned and intended as a professional/business creation tool rather than a consumer entertainment service?
Our service will be restricted to users aged 18 or older and will use Paid Services.
2. Gemini TTS Preview model in production
May gemini-3.1-flash-tts-preview be used as part of such a paid production SaaS under the current Gemini API Terms, or are there any additional restrictions on commercial production use specifically because the model is designated Preview?
Our intended use is limited to standard text-to-speech generation. Users select a voice, submit their own text, and receive generated audio. We do not provide users with our Gemini API credentials or direct access to the Gemini API.
If there are any additional requirements applicable to this use case, please let us know.
