Clarification on App Categorization for Gemini API Competition

Hello Community,

I’m seeking some clarification regarding the categorization of my project in the Gemini API competition.

I developed my application using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js). For additional functionality, I integrated Firebase specifically for features like Google Sign-In.

During submission, I checked Firebase as the Google Developer tool/product used in addition to the Gemini API. My question is:

Does selecting Firebase in the submission form categorize my app under the “Built with Firebase” category, or is it still recognized under the “Web App” category considering that Firebase is used only as an additional service and not as the core technology just for Auth?

I want to ensure my app is categorized correctly to accurately reflect its technology stack.

I assumed it will apply to each category. Let’s say it’s firebase and flutter. If yours was good but not the best in firebase but was in flutter than you would win the flutter category. I think it’s just more chances to win.
