Catastrophic Memory Leak (21GB+) via SecureCoder Extension in Antigravity IDE

System: macOS
Issue: Antigravity IDE suffers a fatal memory leak, rapidly consuming upwards of 21GB of application memory and choking the OS until a Force Quit is required.

Diagnostics & Isolation:

  1. The runaway allocation is explicitly tied to the SecureCoder extension and its underlying semgrep-core-proprietary processes.
  2. Disabling/uninstalling the SecureCoder extension immediately stabilizes the environment and halts the leak.

Evidence:
Attached is a screenshot of the macOS Force Quit window capturing the 21.01 GB allocation. System logs are attached to bypass automated spam filters.

Action Required:
This is a critical architectural failure, not a minor bug. The extension requires immediate profiling and patching, or it should be pulled from the marketplace.

Same for me, not able to uninstall this extension though.

It’s a built-in extension; we have to use search filters to find it, and we can only disable it.

I later uninstalled Antigravity IDE entirely. It was not adding much value relative to VS code. Feels unstable, experimental, & buggy.

Yes, please fix this. My Mac Studio has been stuck for 2 days, and I didn’t know why until I came to this thread.

well who using antigravity in 2026 xd

I’m facing the same issue after new update.

Same issue for me. For me it showed 64 GB in that Force Quit Applications window. ANTIGRAVITY IDE has this serious bug, idk when they will fix it but my antigravity IDE is crashing every single hour, whenever I run `npm install` or `npm run dev`.

I have the same problem with my Mac.

Hey All,

This issue is resolved in Antigravity IDE 2.0.4. Please update to the latest version and let us know if you encounter any further issues.

resolved or removed? because I can’t find SecureCoder again

Hi @popg,

It has been removed in the latest version.
