This is a known issue with Google AI Studio where the model may use outdated training data or an incorrect system timestamp, causing it to think “today” is in the past or future. Currently, there is no way to manually update its internal date. Workarounds include explicitly providing the current date in your prompt (e.g., “Today is January 8, 2026”) so the model references it correctly, or waiting for Google’s next update, which should fix the system time awareness.

Its just a today’s date issue.
I am showing a picture in the prompt of a log that showes a date in 2026.
It assumes, since the model still thinks its 2024 or so, there is a bug in the log being shown and it tries to fix it. I get stuck trying to explain that it really is 2026 and it will not accept my requested changes.
