This is by far the worst UI, and UX update (forced also) in the history of IDEs. I want to genuinely know who thought this would be a good idea and grounded on evidence. Eg. did people in forums asked for something like this yelling that the old VSC style IDE was bad? Like how Google ended up with this update being even considered not to mention shipped, not to mention shipped by force, not to mention shipped by force without option to opt out or reverse.
This is absolutely insane. Help me out to understand. Maybe I am not getting something.
