Description: I am encountering a persistent error when using Antigravity. Even after re-logging and clearing cache, the issue remains. It appears that the backend is failing to assign a valid Project ID, returning “projects/” instead.
Error Details:
Error Message: Invalid project resource name projects/
Status: INVALID_ARGUMENT (HTTP 400)
TraceID: 0x67d6db80ab4…
Trajectory ID: 14c5d787-5ddd-4cbd-bf9c-c19bee…
Troubleshooting performed:
Cleared local configuration and cache.
Re-authenticated with Google Account.
Revoked and re-granted App permissions.
This seems to be a widespread backend synchronization issue. Please investigate why my account is not being assigned a valid project resource name.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this has caused. We have escalated the issue to our internal teams for a thorough investigation and we appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution.
The same, reported twice, by last 2 weeks, with Report Issue from Antigravity…. nothing changed after 1.20.5 from Mar 9, 2026, the same problem.
Logout, removing Antigravity from accounts.google.com, reauth… still the same problem. Google AI Pro account.
For sure those 400 are visible in logs, and one can assume that if you are building tool for using AI to code, you probably should use it also to look into logs
Two separated traceId’s:
Trajectory ID: 0240dcd9-3959-40dd-867c-5e7b85…
Error: HTTP 400 Bad Request
Sherlog:

Same here with a fresh installation on a new macbook pro (M5 pro). Workspace and playgrounds are not working every chat is directly stopping with the same error / bug like this:
Next update, and still the same problem which I have last ~5-6 weeks
Invalid project resource name… time to switch to Kiro, and maybe canceling Google AI Pro, why to pay extra if I cannot use it with Anitgravity?
Don’t know if it will help anybody but you can try.
I had this problem by last ~2 months. I even have ticket to Google One.
By total coincidence today I clicked on .md file (Markdown) and it was opened in Antigravity. So I put “Are you there?” to chat and it responded…
So I reopened my project with 400… and 400 was there again…
So I copied all visible files from this folder to new one, went there and done: antigravity .
and it worked, and there is no 400…
So my guess is that at least in some cases this is problem somewhere in your local file system. Try to copy files (source code, docs, data files, but nothing more) to new folder and run antigravity there.
It may help. It helped in my case - at least for now
