[Bug] Gemini 2.5 Pro model fails to generate response in AI Studio

The specific model “Gemini 2.5 Pro” is currently non-functional in Google AI Studio. It fails to process input tokens and does not return any output.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Open Google AI Studio.

  2. Select Gemini 2.5 Pro from the model dropdown list.

  3. Input any text prompt (e.g., “Hello”).

  4. Click “Run”.

Observed Behavior: The prompt is sent, but the UI hangs on the loading state or throws an error message. No tokens are generated.

Expected Behavior: The model should generate a text response similar to other available models.

Additional Context:

  • Working Models: Gemini 1.5 Pro, Gemini 1.5 Flash (Working fine).

  • Browser: Chrome / Edge (Latest Version).

Issue still exists. Been happening since at least Wednesday. Both on Gemini 3.0 and Gemini 2.5 Pro.
Free user.
Used two different browsers and the phone application.

We noticed this issue with Gemini 2.5 Pro last Friday in AI Studio; however, it appears to be resolved now.

Could you please try accessing it one more time on your end and let me know if the issue still persists? I’ve attached screenshots showing that Gemini 3 and Gemini 2.5 Pro are currently accessible for me, for your reference.

Problem still persists. I don’t have a project ID because I’m not trying to make something, I just use it as a chatbot basically. Also,I’m a free user.
