I need to add one more critical point about the recent forced updates.
When I first started working in AI Studio, I was genuinely amazed by its uniqueness. The 3.0 model was so incredibly good for creative writing and understood nuance so well that I completely abandoned all other well-known AI models on the market and fully committed to your platform.
But now, after you deleted the 3.0 model and replaced it with this new, heavily restricted version, I literally want to cry. It is a complete disaster.
Not only does the new model block absolutely everything with its broken safety filters, but its actual writing quality has severely degraded. The prose is so clunky, generic, and painfully written that it makes me want to bang my head against a wall.
And the most insulting part? You expect paying customers to keep giving you money for a product that is objectively worse, completely stripped of its artistic capabilities, and fundamentally broken compared to what it was.
You had the best tool on the market for writers. Now it’s unusable. Bring back the quality we are paying for.

I havent actually had a problem with 3.1 but i feel its texture is significantly different. Spent a couple of hours yesterday quizzing the model to try an det my head around the changesl, tried to tweak a persona to approximate 3.0. had some success when i picked up a old ‘philosophical gaming ‘ chat, and carried that one on .
It feels like the temperature has been taken down a couple of notches and a bunch of new RLHF applied. Very blokey now. It is smarter… but the new IQ is worth less than the lost EQ imo.
There really was something special about 3.0 wasnt there?
I SECOND THE REQUEST PLEASE BRING BACK 3.0.

To be completely honest with you, I had been combining the 2.5 and 3.1 models, and getting some decent results. But today’s restrictions just completely broke me. I’ve thrown in the towel.
The 3.0 model was like a scalpel—it wrote with incredible precision and flow. But 3.1 is like an axe, completely ignoring system instructions. They aren’t going to bring that model back for us. Their focus is clearly on massive corporations now, not individual creators. It’s a damn shame. I’m just deeply disappointed
