Billing 2$ for 45k tokens?

Google states that it charges ~$2.50 for ~1 million tokens.

I tested their API very cautiously, and fortunately I did, because within just a few minutes I had already reached 2 dollars.|
How 45 000 tokens cost 2$ ?
Do i missing something ?
sorry, it my first time with the Google paid service.

The total tokens on my client input/output accurately reflect those shown in the Google Web console.
