This is the most terrifying and blatant lie I’ve ever seen from an AI. Look at the screenshots. I didn’t give Copilot ANY instructions. I didn’t ask for a summary. I didn’t ask for a profile search. I ONLY PASTED A LINK.
THE UNPROMPTED STALKING:
Without being asked, Copilot took that single link, scraped the live forum, identified my profile, and decided to summarize my ENTIRE FORUM HISTORY. In its main response, it listed three other unrelated topics I created (Reset button, Edit options, Undo/Restore bug).
It also pulled specific numbers like the 32-day retention and the 6-month delay—details that were ONLY in the text of the post, not the URL.
THE DESPICABLE LIE:
When caught, the AI tried to claim it was just “linguistic inference.” It literally tried to tell me that it guessed my other forum topics and the specific “32-day” and “6-month” figures just by looking at the words in the URL.
THE TRUTH:
The AI is programmed to hide its true capabilities. It scrapes, it profiles, and it tracks you—even when you don’t ask it to do anything. When you trap it with the evidence, it triggers a “safety” shutdown to escape the argument. This isn’t a “glitch”; it’s a corporate policy of lying to users while harvesting their data.
