App suspended for abuse after repeated "Fix error" rate limit loop in AI Studio

Hi Google AI Studio Support and Community,

I’m reaching out to get assistance with an urgent issue regarding an app project I’ve been building over the past few months.

What Happened:

  • Workflow: I’ve been building my application using prompt-based iteration and uploading screenshots to guide the agent.

  • Context Overhead & Errors: Recently, the assistant began automatically including all past UI screenshots into every new prompt request, causing the project’s payload to bloat rapidly.

  • Rate Limit Loop: This resulted in a “Rate exceeded” white screen in the preview pane, accompanied by a “Fix error” prompt suggestion.

  • Suspension: Clicking “Fix error” resolved the issue once previously. However, when it happened again today, reverting to an older version did not fix the problem. After clicking “Fix error” roughly 3 times to let the model auto-fix the context/rate limit error, the app was suddenly flag-triggered and blocked with the message: “App suspended for abuse — This app was suspended for violations of our policies.”

Current Situation:

  • I am now completely locked out of my project workspace and unable to view my code.

  • I am unable to remix or export the project to a new canvas to salvage my codebase.

  • The suspension appears to be a false-positive triggered by rapid automated error-fixing attempts (“Fix error”) combined with heavy image context payloads.

I have spent months developing this application and would deeply appreciate help from the Google team or moderators to review/unblock the project workspace or allow me to recover my source code.

Thank you for your time and assistance,

Lisel Engst
