An app disappeared in AI Studio and I did not delete it. I only saw a legacy version of the app from Dec 2025. I tried to upgrade that one, but it is an old, non functioning version.
I have no deletions showing in my drive. I see a repository in GitHub for the app from 3 months ago, but I know I have updated the app since that date.
I don’t know enough about all of this to know what to do. I really need the current version of the app, as 42 franchises in my company use this tool.
What information do I need to provide, or how can I find out if the app can be recovered?
I figured out how to restore it from Gitthub!
Hi @Rebecca_Ramey , it’s great to hear that you were able to restore your app. For the benefit of the community, could you please share what steps worked for you?
At first I asked AI studio how to restore the app which gave very detailed instructions…that I had no idea what it was telling me to do. It had told me to find the prompt file within Github to use to rebuild the app. When I went to create a new app, and hit the plus icon to add a file, I saw “Import From Github” as an option. I tried that option, selected the app, and it rebuilt it for me! I am now saving all my apps to Github.
