Antigravity v2 - Desktop application hangs indefinitely during OAuth login with personal Google account

Component: Developer Tools / Antigravity / Authentication

Description:
After upgrading the platform to Antigravity version 2, the desktop application is completely unable to complete the authentication process. The application hangs indefinitely on the loading screen immediately after attempting to log in using a personal Google account (@gmail.com).

This issue is persistent and originates from the platform’s side, as it has been verified across clean environments.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Launch the Antigravity desktop application (Version 2.x).
  2. Click on the “Sign In” button to initiate the authentication flow.
  3. The system redirects to the default browser for Google OAuth.
  4. Complete the login successfully in the browser using a personal Google account.
  5. The browser successfully redirects back, but the desktop application remains stuck on an infinite loading state/spinner and never establishes the session.

Expected Behavior:
The application should capture the OAuth access token returned by the browser, complete the handshake, and grant access to the main dashboard interface.

Environment & Troubleshooting Done:

  • OS: Windows 10/11
  • Account Type: Personal Google Account (@gmail.com)
  • Troubleshooting performed: Verified local OS configuration, performed a full cache clearance, and executed standard Windows network/registry troubleshooting steps. The behavior remains identical, indicating a failure in the v2 authentication handshake layer or token processing on the application/server side.

Hi @Asnex ,

Could you please try these steps:

  • CLI Headless Sign-In (Directly Syncs Session to IDE):

    • The Desktop IDE and CLI share the same credentials store. Open PowerShell or Command Prompt and run: agy auth login --no-browser
    • Open the generated URL in Chrome, approve permissions, and paste the authorization code back into the terminal.
    • Relaunch Antigravity Desktop—it will automatically detect the active session and skip the login screen.
  • Clear Stale Windows Credential Entries:

    • Press Win + S > open Credential Manager > select Windows Credentials.
    • Under Generic Credentials, remove any entries containing antigravity-auth or Google Antigravity.
  • Reset Onboarding State:

    • Close Antigravity completely (taskkill /F /IM Antigravity.exe /T).
    • Press Win + R, navigate to %APPDATA%\Antigravity, and delete the GPUCache and Cache folders to clear corrupted handshake state.

Let me know is the issue resolves, or still the issue persists?
