This error message indicates that the GPU renderer process is freezing, most commonly due to a GPU acceleration issue or corrupted local cache. First, completely terminate Antigravity (end all processes in Task Manager),and then relaunch the application with GPU acceleration disabled.
If the problem persists, clear the corrupted local data (located in \LocalAppData\Antigravity), and subsequently restart the application.
I’ve renamed the local storage and session storage folders a couple of times, but can’t seem to get to a resolution. I regularly run a few different AG sessions at once and now today, the two I was working on, now have this error with existing conversations.
The agent replies stall with Generating. with a single period.
When I choose to reopen the session, the agents reply is there, but it can’t process anything but a reply.
I do appear to be able to start new conversations. I am doing things with conversation and brain saves, but as you know that can leave a bit of context missing.
Any ideas on how to clean up/check the current chats?
Same problem here. I’ve even disabled GPU (“D:\Program Files\Antigravity\Antigravity.exe” --disable-gpu --disable-gpu-compositing) but still Antigravity hangs for a long time. Sometimes if I want, I’m able to get a response after a minute or two. It seems to happen on longer conversations. Previously I’ve had a huge language_server CPU and memory consumption, which fortunately newer Antigravity no longer has, but now I’m affected by the whole editor freezing.
I’ve also removed all the local cache from %AppData% (Windows) and it still freezes on the same conversation
similar issue today - Gemini completely unresponsive, freezes “generating” etc
Switching to Claude gets me moving, but I still hit “message”: “No capacity available for model claude-opus-4-6-thinking on the server”, so I end up with constant retries.
I have a similar issue on 1.19.6 and past versions on Linux where it eats a ton of CPU on startup and rendering hangs for almost 30 seconds each time when trying to open a conversation (also regardless of using GPU accel, clean cache). It also often hangs for the first message in a session, and I have to retry.
