I’ll admit, Google did a thing - they hooked me on a piece of software. When antigravity launched, the quotas were insane. I already had Google AI Pro, so to instantly get a new perk of using models for coding in the IDE attached to my subscription for free - I was very happy. The quotas were massive and over the course of a few months I created a huge app I had dreamed of but was above my skill level.
Before I could use Claude Opus for an hour, Gemini 3 Pro for another hour, then Flash for a few hours. Now I can run through every quota in 1-2 hours and be waiting a week (a new limitation) for any of them to refresh.
How on earth am I supposed to keep using it on a daily basis if I have to wait a week every time I run through a quota? Nice subscription change there Google. They officially won me over and lost me in a matter of months. I’m happy I’ve probably cost them a lot in model calls and I’ll keep using the quota, but it’s no longer my main development tool. At this point, unless you’re paying $250/month (insane price jump btw) it’s barely useable for the main feature it’s built around. And don’t even get me started with buying “credits” which don’t have any defined value.
