Antigravity IDE: MCP (Stitch) extension stuck in an infinite "Refreshing..." loop

Hello,

I am currently using Antigravity IDE and encountered an issue while trying to install or configure the Stitch MCP server.

The status indicator next to Stitch is stuck in an endless “Refreshing…” loop, and it never finishes loading or responds to interactions. I have already tried restarting the editor, but the issue persists.

  • Environment: Antigravity IDE / VS Code-based environment

  • Affected Feature: MCP (Stitch) Extension

  • Symptom: Constant infinite loading (“Refreshing…”) on the extension panel.

Could anyone advise on how to resolve this or if there’s a workaround (e.g., clearing cache, checking specific logs)?

Thank you!I am facing a persistent issue in Antigravity IDE where any MCP server installation or refresh gets stuck in an infinite “Refreshing…” loop.

It’s not just isolated to a specific extension like Stitch; trying to install or sync any other MCP results in the exact same endless loading state, and nothing can be installed.

  • Environment: Antigravity IDE / VS Code-based environment

  • Symptom: Infinite “Refreshing…” loop occurs on any MCP extension/server interaction.

Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix this global MCP loading issue? Any help would be appreciated.

I tried a solution suggested on another forum, but the issue persists.

Since I couldn’t find any PayPal-related string in extensions.json, I renamed the file itself to extensions_backup.json and restarted Antigravity IDE. However, the MCP server is still stuck in the infinite “Refreshing…” loop.

Is there any other workaround or fix I can try?

Hello @Painting

To help investigate this -

  • Can you confirm your operating system and version, as well as the Antigravity IDE version currently in use?
  • Does this issue occur only with the Stitch MCP server, or does it happen with other MCP servers as well?
  • Does the “Refreshing…” state appear immediately after clicking Install or after saving the configuration?
  • Can you check the Developer Tools Console (Help → Toggle Developer Tools → Console) while reproducing the issue and share any errors shown there?

Additionally, please utilize the in-app “Provide Feedback” option immediately to securely package your local system logs and hardware profile for the developers.

Hi @Ritesh_Dhawade

Thank you for looking into this. Here is the information you requested:

  • System Information:

    • Antigravity IDE Version: 2.1.1

    • VSCode OSS Version: 1.107.0 (user setup)

    • Electron: 39.2.3

    • Node.js: 22.21.1

    • V8: 14.2.231.21-electron.0

    • OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.26200

  • MCP Servers: This issue occurs not only with the Stitch MCP server but with other MCP servers as well.

  • Timing of the Issue: The “Refreshing…” state appears after saving the configuration.

  • Developer Tools Console: Because it is stuck in a continuous refreshing loop, there is no response at all even when I try to install other MCPs, and no error messages appear in the console.

  • Provide Feedback: Regarding the “Provide Feedback” option, it was already set to the default options, as you can see in the attached screenshot.

Please let me know if there is anything else I can try.
