Antigravity: Agent execution terminated due to unknown error

Description

I’m consistently getting the following error in Google Antigravity when running an agent:

Unknown: Agent execution terminated due to error.

The agent runs for approximately 1 second and then terminates without providing any actionable error details.

Expected behavior

The agent should execute normally, or Antigravity should provide a meaningful error message explaining what caused the execution to fail.

Actual behavior

The agent immediately terminates with:

Unknown: Agent execution terminated due to error.

Environment

  • Product: Google Antigravity

  • OS: macOS

  • Issue: Agent execution

  • Duration before failure: ~1 second

Additional information

I have attached a screenshot showing the error.

Could you please investigate the error ID and provide guidance on what is causing the agent execution to terminate?

Hi @Vineet_Dhiman,

Could you please provide a few more details:

  1. What version of the Antigravity you are using?
  2. Could you share the logs from the Antigravity console or the background task status around the time of the crash? You can find these in the application log directory or via the terminal output.

Hi, I am facing the same issue. I do have AI pro subscription. Been facing the issue since 2 days.
I am using antigravity IDE, i don’t see any logs in any console…
Antigravity version: 2.5.5 (latest - no updates available as of 25 Aug, 2026)

Hi, I’m having the exact same problem as you. I get the same error when using an agent. I was developing a system in React, and I left it untouched for about a month. A week and a half ago, I went back to the Antigravity IDE, and everything was working fine until yesterday when I logged in and got this message. There are no details or anything. I uninstalled the application, cleaned up all traces, and reinstalled it, but during the installation process, I encountered another error. I don’t know if it’s related. I really need help, please!
I’ve already tried both a pro and a free account.

I have the same issue since I upgrade the IDE to the latest yesterday 20260826. environment is windows 10 machine for the Antigravity IDE. – no luck today (login account, succussed).

Try to use antigravity extension for VS code it has been blocked by authentication part.
It’s very annoyed as the old extension used to work but depreciated few months back. then i switch to antigravity IDE. Now, IDE has issue then I go back to vs code, and new version extension blocked by authentication.

I have pro annual subscription.

Downgrading the version resolved the issue for me.

agy Version: 2.12.0 Is the problem still unresolved?

if downgrading always the solution of this antigravity problems, they it means this agent code is really bad and want their user to leave them ?

im tired keep facing new error every month and the solution only “downgrading”

I’m still facing that problem on version 2.12.2，Antigravity on Windows. However, the claude models and ChatGPT model work well.
