Antigravity 2.22.02 on macOS — persistent 403 UNSUPPORTED_LOCATION despite successful authentication

I am experiencing a persistent eligibility error in Google Antigravity 2.22.02 on macOS (Apple Silicon).

Authentication succeeds, but every generation request fails with:

PERMISSION_DENIED (403): Your current account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals because it is not currently available in your location.

The language server log shows:

SetProjectID called with projectID: ""
SetLocation called with location: ""
SetUserTier called with userTier: "", tierDisplayName: ""

I have completed the available account verification checks and tested with and without a VPN. The error persists in both cases. Standard Gemini works using my existing DNS configuration.

Could you please check whether my account’s Antigravity eligibility and entitlement provisioning are correctly configured on the backend?

Error IDs:

  • f2ae2110-5637-4d0d-99bd-4197f20104ef-3

The issue persists after restarting the application. I would appreciate confirmation of whether this is a known backend issue and whether any account-side remediation is available.

Hi @Thaddeus_Hagenes,

Welcome to the Forum,

This error means the account wasn’t matched to a supported location during setup. Could you confirm:

If the country is correct and supported, please let us know.

Hi Google Antigravity Team,

I’m experiencing the same issue with Google Antigravity.

What I have verified:

  1. I am using a personal Gmail account.

  2. The Google Terms of Service country version for this exact account is United States.

  3. Google authentication and two-step verification both complete successfully.

  4. Antigravity opens successfully and recognizes my account.

  5. However, even a simple prompt using Gemini 3.8 Flash Medium fails with the following error:

Error message:
“Your current account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals because it is not currently available in your location.”

  1. My desktop environment is configured to use a US network exit, although I have not independently verified the outbound IP of every Antigravity service request.

  2. This account does not currently have a paid Google AI subscription. The problem occurs with the available free model, before any upgrade.

My question:

Since the account’s Google Terms of Service country is already set to the United States, could the team investigate whether this is related to account-level regional eligibility, Gemini Code Assist provisioning, or an Antigravity backend entitlement issue?

Is there an official way to verify or correct the account’s service eligibility?

I would also like to confirm whether purchasing Google AI Pro would resolve this issue, or whether the regional eligibility problem must be addressed first.

I can provide the error/request ID and additional diagnostic information privately if needed.

Thank you for your help.

Title: Persistent UNSUPPORTED_LOCATION (403 / Error 1008) in Antigravity Despite US Account Region

Hi Google Antigravity Team,

I’m experiencing a persistent location eligibility error in Antigravity on Windows 11.

Google authentication succeeds, and Antigravity recognizes my account. However, every attempt to generate a response using the available free Gemini model fails with the following error:

PERMISSION_DENIED (403): Your current account is not eligible for Gemini Code Assist for individuals because it is not currently available in your location.

What I have verified:

  1. I’m using my personal Google account.

  2. The Google Terms of Service country for my account is set to the United States.

  3. My IPv4 address is identified as being in Los Angeles, California, US, as verified through IPinfo.

  4. Google authentication completes successfully, and Antigravity opens normally.

  5. I don’t have a paid Google AI subscription. The error occurs even when trying to use the available free Gemini model.

  6. I don’t have another Google account available to test whether the issue is specific to this account.

Diagnostic information:

  • Trajectory ID: `191a3c56-9c4d-451a-b16f-122839bb0..

  • Trace ID: `0x5a0831660d53..

  • HTTP status: 403 Forbidden

  • Error number: 1008

  • Error reason: UNSUPPORTED_LOCATION

  • Error domain: cloudaicompanion.googleapis.com

  • Request timestamp: October 22, 2026, 08:17:18 GMT

Could the team please clarify the following?

  1. Why is my account being classified as ineligible when its Google Terms of Service country is set to the United States?

  2. Could this be caused by an account-level eligibility or entitlement provisioning issue?

  3. Is there an official way to verify or correct my account’s eligibility?

  4. Would purchasing Google AI Pro resolve this specific error, or does the underlying eligibility issue need to be addressed first?

I would appreciate a concrete explanation of what is causing this error and how it can be resolved. I can provide additional diagnostic information if needed.

Thank you for your help.
