"An internal error has occurred" issue

Environment Details

  • Platform: Google AI Studio

  • Account Tier: Google AI Pro plan subscriber

  • Model: Gemini 2.5 pro

  • Interface: Chat/Prompt Playground

The issue appeared two hours ago. After sending a prompt the model tries to generate for several seconds and then "“An internal error has occurred” appears. Log out, page reloading didn’t help. The issue persists in every single chat. When I change a model the Gemini 3.1 pro it works. But I specifically need Gemini 2.5 pro and pay for it.

Does anybody here have the same issue or know how to fix it?

Could a member of Google stuff pay attention to this problem?

The same issue here.

This has been rolled back and the access to 2.5 pro should be restored.
