Anyone using Google Gemini Advanced (subscribed mode), please test the Amharic Text-to-Speech. Does the voice sound clear and natural — not broken or robotic? If it works well, please share a sample “Modified by moderator” if it still sounds like nonsense, say so. We need to know if it’s fixed there or still the same mess
Hi @Lynelb_Lyne_lb,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I checked your other post as well (attached).
I will escalate to the concerned team.. As I haven’t seen any other users issues related to Amharic language, I encourage you experiment further and provide your observations.. It helps our team to recognize and update our models.
Dear @Krish_Varnakavi1 , i have also encountered this issue as @Lynelb_Lyne_lb mentioned and it is really concerning for us. we couldnot proceed using the model for amharic generation. it was perfectly working before and after the recent update it has become totally broken. please help us with this.
You are 100% correct. Thank you for posting this. I have the exact same problem, and I have been reporting this for over a year.
@Krish_Varnakavi1 Please, this is more proof that it’s not a “small” problem.
This is a critical accessibility failure. Many users, especially those with visual impairments, depend on this instant voice to use the app.
It worked perfectly before, but the update broke it. We need this fixed
You are 100% correct, and thank you for posting. I have the exact same problem.
@Krish_Varnakavi1 — This is more proof. We are tired of this.
I have been reporting this issue for over a year. We keep getting told “thank you for the feedback,” but then we wait months and months for a real reply, and nothing gets fixed.
We don’t need a reply “after eight years.” We need an instant response and an instant fix.
This is a critical accessibility failure. Blind users and users who are not “deep in English” depend on this voice. The AI Studio is not a solution.
Please escalate this as a critical, high-priority bug. We are tired of being ignored
