hi, i have created a Gem in my Gem manager which works really great for my needs. how can i access through gemini api ?. i know there is a system instruction option but it is not giving the same results as the Gem. is there any solution for this ?

Unfortunately, the Gemini app and the Google AI Studio with Gemini API are two different things.
Google AI Studio provides more low-level access to the Gemini models, while the Gemini app provides access to multiple models, including a version of Gemini that is tuned for conversation and fact retrieval.
The Gemini app does not have an API, nor API access to its Gems.

By any chance is there an update on this topic? Despite the same text instructions can be sent through API to Gemini, I noticed that the file processing capabilities of Gems are out of the reach of the API ones, it would be a great combination to be able to access the gem via API

Chiming in on this. Seems rather absurd to have to layer OpenWebUI to gain this functionality. Very hungry for this feature…

+1. Can’t wait to have API access to the Gems. I need to do a lot of manual work to get results using Gem. Would be very convenient if there are APIs available to automate this.
