My API key isn’t working correctly. . . I keep getting 429 errors when I have not been using it all day long. I’m a bit afraid because last time this happened, I couldn’t use Gemini for a month. Do you know why this is?

Is anyone actually working on trying to fix the Gemini API -Google Drive bug?
I’m referring to the one in which Gemini thinks it canno write, move or rename files on Google drive, even though it’s done if before and if never had problems reading files.
This bug has many paying users losing hours of work to hallucinating bots who insist they are creating and writing files to your drive only to later tell you that nothing has been created because “Gemini does not have write access to your Google drive "
I personally had one even tell me that it believed we were role playing for about three hours of work. I was so focused I didn’t check that it was actually saving my work (so that’s on me, I guess) but come on, guys. A data integrity issue like this should be top priority if you don’t want millions of angry users. I’m reminded of when floppy disks had high failure rates for data integrity…. Are we back at that stage again?

someone please help, I am unable to obtain the Gemini CLI API key - I ahve signed up for the Google AI Pro package which includes Gemini 3 and I live in the UK. curl ipinfo.io also reports back also as UK resident, so am I denied the API key?
I don’t remember you can do that with subscription plan. API key only available in pay as you go or free tier via AI studio website
